WHAT IS A JURY SESSION?

Our guild has juried and non-juried members. All members are invited to our meetings, picnics, parties, and annual exhibit. But our juried members have a couple of added benefits.

In addition to being listed on our website, as a juried member you are able to participate in our annual “Fine Artis and Crafts Showcase” the first Saturday and Sunday of November. The popular fair has been successful in providing an opportunity for our members to exhibit and sell their work to the community.

What does it mean to apply as a juried member?  The definition of jury:  A process by which an applicants work is selected to fit a certain aesthetic or level of skill, by a panel of judges called jurors. Many art fairs, gallery exhibits, and publications are all juried and we have this opportunity for our guild members once a year in late winter (usually February).

The applications go out in late Fall of this year, for the jury session hosted in February next year. There is a free workshop to help you get ready for the jury session.  All members are eligible to apply, and if you’re not a member simply include your membership application with your jury application and we’ll help guide you the rest of the way.

Stay tuned for our next session on our social media outlets and newsletter. Or email us any time! This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
