Specifications
The theme of this year’s show is “Flight of Fancy.” Each member may enter one (1) piece of work in the show. Your entry should reflect your very best work. It should not be work submitted from a previous annual exhibit.The work does not have to be in the same medium in which you are juried for the Guild fairs, but can be.
The exhibit will be held at Mellwood Art & Entertainment Center, Suite # 113, located at 1860 Mellwood Ave. from September 8th through October 1st. This time frame allows us to be open for the September Art Fair as well as for the F.A.T. Friday trolley hop.
All entries must be tagged with the artist’s name, phone number, title of work, price or NFS, and medium. Please include the same information on your entry form. The Gallery will prepare the labels that will hang with your piece. LAG has purchased liability insurance for this exhibit. The artist must provide their own insurance for their entry.
Artwork must be delivered on Sunday, September 4th between Noon 4pm. All work must be wired & ready to hang. Any artwork that is not properly prepared for hanging may be eliminated from the exhibit. If your entry requires a special display arrangement, please bring that as well. Since LAG is hosting its’ own event this year, any help with display items such as pedestals & cases, will be greatly appreciated.
Please note: Acceptance into the Annual Exhibit does not carry with it “juried membership status”. Juried member status for Guild Fairs is a separate process.
Dates to remember
August 25 - Postmark deadline for entry form and fees.
Sept. 4 - Deliver art to The Gallery at Mellwood between Noon & 4pm.
Sept. 8 - Artist Reception 5pm 7pm. Awards will be presented at 6pm.
Oct. 1 - Exhibit closes at 4pm.
Oct. 1 - Pick up your artwork at the Gallery after 4pm - 6pm.
Oct. 2 - Pick up your artwork at the Gallery from Noon 3pm.
Entry Details
A non-refundable entry fee of $20.00 for the Annual Exhibit, payable to the Louisville Artisans Guild or LAG, must be enclosed with the entry form.
A separate check for $30.00 payable to Louisville Artisans Guild or LAG will be held as security for art pickup after the show. If the artwork is sold, the security check will be mailed to the artist. When the artist or artist’s representative picks up their work at the close of the show, the check will be returned to them at that time. If the artist or their representative does NOT pick up the artwork at the close of the show, the check will be cashed and the monies will be used by the person securing the artwork from the gallery to have it packaged and shipped from the UPS Store to the artist C.O.D.
